Another day in Joburg

As traffic slithers along the Joburg CBD I have a feeling that this will be a smoother than usual ride. No strangers offering to wash passing motorists’ cars, not even the guy with the “no job” sign standing by the robots. Even taxi drivers, for once, seem to be law- abiding citizens.

Screech! And the smell of burning rubber on tar! What’s this I see? A motorcade of police vehicles giving chase to an armoured truck! This is the stuff movies are made.

Now that’s putting a bit of kick into an uneventful afternoon drive. Just another day in Joburg...
